An official press release of the Finance Ministry said that on the sidelines of the deliberations of the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) that began on Tuesday at the Filoxenia Conference Centre in Nicosia, the Minister of Finance had a meeting with the Vice President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Thierry de Longuemar. 

At the meeting, the upcoming membership of Cyprus to AIIB was discussed and views were exchanged.

Georgiades also met with the Minister of Economy and Development of Greece, Dimitris Papadimitriou, with whom he discussed issues of common economic and development interest between Greece and Cyprus.

The Finance Minister also met with the Governor of the People’s Bank of China, Xiaochuan Zhou, where they discussed issues related to the further development of the economic cooperation between Cyprus and China.
