Finance Minister: Coop sector doing well but efforts must continue

The cooperative sector has managed a breakthrough in a matter of months and it should continue on course, Minister of Finance Harris Georgiades says.

Georgiades, who was speaking after having visited the Central Cooperative Bank, expressed his satisfaction for the work achieved so far and congratulated the newly appointed Executive General Director Marios Clerides over his appointment. He warned against past harmful practices and said that the implementation of the cooperative sector’s restructuring programmein full will ensure that trust in the sector will be restored.
