EY welcomes Eleni Sofocleous as a Director in EY Cyprus’ Tax Practice

EY Cyprus, staying true to its commitment to building a better working world, always looks to reinforce its teams with the brightest talents. In this context, we are proud to announce that, as of 11th of January 2021, Eleni Sofocleous has joined EY’s Tax practice. 

Eleni holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Finance from the University of Southampton, where she graduated with 1st class honours. She is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). Today, Eleni serves as a member of the Shipping Committee of ICPAC.

Upon successfully graduating, Eleni joined a Big Four Firm as a tax consultant for more than 19 years, where she spent her time specializing in local and international tax providing advice on optimizing tax structures for both multinational international groups and small organizations. Eleni has deep knowledge of the Shipping and Oil & Gas sectors with extensive experience with Cyprus’ Tonnage Tax Regime and has successfully served several leading Shipping and Oil & Gas organizations in Cyprus.
