- Key topics included EU Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive, Transfer Pricing, VAT and Personal Taxation
Amongst its distinguished speakers, the Conference featured presentations by local EY Tax experts as well as experts from EY Greece. Specifically, Petros Krasaris, Head of International Tax and Transfer Pricing Services, presented the Anti-Tax avoidance directive, discussing the new interest limitation rules, CFC rules and other developments. Charalambos Palaontas, Transfer Pricing Services, EY Cyprus, Christos Kourouniotis, Head of Transfer Pricing Services and Georgia Grigoriou, International Tax services, both from EY Greece presented the topic of Transfer pricing. The three discussed new the transfer pricing legislation in Cyprus as well as transfer pricing of financial transactions and substance. George Liassis, Head of Indirect Tax Services, took on the topic of VAT giving the latest update on VAT optimization opportunities for holding and financing companies. Lastly a presentation on the topic of personal taxation was delivered by Petros Liassides, Head of Personal Taxation Services, where he presented an update on taxation of benefits in kind as well as contributions to the General Healthcare System.
