EY Cyprus announces four new Partners

Standing by their commitment of Building a Better Working World, which requires the support of exceptional people, EY Cyprus announces the appointment of Nicolas Pavlou as Partner and Katerina Mina, Sakis Moyseos and Panayiotis Thrasyvoulou as Associate Partners. The new Partners are expected to take up their new role as of July 1st, 2019.

Nicolas Pavlou has been working in Assurance services of EY Cyprus since 2003, with a focus on banking and capital markets. He has planned, managed and participated in audits and reviews of IFRS Financial Statements, consolidation packages and regulatory returns of large and medium-sized clients in the financial services industry, both in Cyprus and abroad, and is currently leading the Forensics & Integrity Department in EY Cyprus. He has a BA in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University in the UK and is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), as well as a member of The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). He is also a current member of ICPAC’S Financial Services Committee.

Katerina Mina has been with EY for over 16 years, providing audit and assurance services to local and multinational clients, including companies listed on local and foreign exchanges. She has served clients in a wide range of industries, with a specialisation in the energy sector, while she also has international experience in serving US based oil and gas clients. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Pretoria and she is a fellow member of ICAEW and a member of ICPAC, where she has also been an active member of the ICPAC Energy Committee for several years.

Sakis Moyseos is working in Advisory services of EY since 2016, focusing on strategic planning, business processes reengineering, organizational restructurings and spending reviews for public & private organisations. He is currently the Government & Public Sector Leader at EY Cyprus. He has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of financial, operational and project management. Before joining EY, Sakis held the position of Project Manager for the Public Financial Management Reform in the Ministry of Finance. He has also worked as a Finance & Operations Director for multinational companies in the retail and express logistics sectors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Essex and is also a member of ICAEW.

Panayiotis Thrasyvoulou joined EY in 2018, leading the new local People Advisory Services (PAS) practice. He has extensive HR experience as prior to joining EY, he worked for many years as Human Resources Manager in various groups of companies, as well as successfully ran his own consulting firm for 3 years. He holds a BSc in Business Management from Essex University, an MSc in International Employment Relations & Human Resources Management from LSE, and a PhD (cand.) in Management from the University of Cyprus. He is a certified Quality Manager, a certified Trainer and assessor of renowned psychometric tests, and he currently serves as the President of the Cyprus Human Resources Management Association (CyHRMA).
