Some 680 golf tour operator members of the global trade association of the golf tourism industry from 65 different countries cast their votes for this award. There are 1000 golf resorts in the USA and an estimated 2000 in total worldwide.

The 2018 IAGTO Awards winners were announced in the Palais des Congres in Cannes, France, in front of an audience of 1500 international golf tourism delegates at the opening of the International Golf Tourism Market. Aphrodite Hills Resort received the accolade ‘Golf Resort of the Year, Europe 2018’.

Established in 1997, IAGTO’s membership comprises 2538 accredited golf tour operators, golf resorts, hotels, golf courses, receptive operators, airlines, tourist boards, approved media and business partners in 98 countries including, at its core, 680 specialist golf tour operators in 65 countries.
