The EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in a continuous effort to empower SMEs to invest in their Intellectual Property (IP) assets has today re-opened applications for the SME Fund 2024’s Vouchers 1-3 that were temporarily unavailable to new applicants.
European small and medium sized enterprises (SME) that fall within the EU Recommendation 2003/361 are encouraged to apply for the respective vouchers that they intend to use and get reimbursed for part of the amount paid during their IP rights registration process.
The SME Fund 2024 in a nutshell
The Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund 2024 is a €20million grant scheme implemented by the European Commission and the EUIPO and is designed to encourage SMEs to protect their IP rights and develop an IP Strategy.
The SME Fund 2024 was launched on 22 January 2024 as a reimbursement programme divided into 4 vouchers:
- Voucher 1: IP Scan
- Voucher 2: Trade Marks & Designs
- Voucher 3: Patents
- Voucher 4: Community Plant Varieties
