Elias Neocleous & Co LLC (ENC) recently took part in the 2024 4th Innovation Fair, organised by the Nanjing Stuttgart Joint Exhibition, which ran from 10-13 September across key cities in China: Wuxi, Nanjing, and Yancheng. The event, attended by high-level dignitaries including the Ambassadors of Cyprus and China, as well as senior European municipal representatives, attracted around 30-40 leading companies from across Europe, all seeking to explore partnership and investment opportunities in China.
As the only legal firm at the fair, Partner Nicolas Tsardelis and Head of the China Desk, Lanting Liu, were instrumental in representing ENC, capitalising on opportunities to connect with over 300-400 Chinese businesses and investors attending the event. A significant level of interest was shown in our firm’s expertise, particularly in areas such as corporate structuring, taxation, intellectual property, real estate investment, and investor residence permits.
Additionally, ENC Chief Information Officer, Michael Ioannou, delivered expert presentations on our suite of integrated legal services. His presentations highlighted our firm’s capability to support Chinese companies in navigating the complexities of European market entry and expansion. We further engaged stakeholders through a dedicated exhibition space across all three cities, fostering dialogue with potential investors and business partners.
While the Innovation Fair had a pan-European focus, its promotion in China underscored the strategic importance of Cyprus as a gateway for Chinese enterprises seeking to establish or expand their presence in Europe. Our participation allowed us to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders and reinforce our position as a trusted partner for Chinese businesses pursuing European expansion.
