Increases in deposits at local banks continued for the third consecutive month in 2015 amounting to €933 million.
According to the Cyprus Central Bank deposits increased by €255.6 million in September and €440 million in August.
Deposits from local residents increased this month to €32.58 billion from €32.23 billion whereas deposits from non-residents decreased from €11.52 billion to €11.38 billion.
As far as loans from banks to local residents are concerned there was a slight decrease in the supply of consumer and home loans whereas there was a slight increase in the supply of business loans.
Consumer loans decreased by 0.7%, home loans by 1.6% while business loans increased by 0.6%.
