The Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry on Tuesday announced that, in collaboration with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) and the state’s Trade Centre in Dubai, organised a business mission in Dubai on May 10, 2023.
According to the announcement, the members of the mission successfully participated in a business forum and networking event, furthering the efforts of Cyprus to establish itself as a regional and international business centre. Led by Chamber of Commerce president Christodoulodes Angastiniotis, the delegation included representatives from approximately twenty Cypriot companies and entrepreneurs spanning various service sectors. These included technology, information technology, law firms, auditing firms, real estate agencies, financial services, and supply chain companies, among others.
During the forum, Cypriot companies had the opportunity to showcase their respective industries to a large number of companies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This platform allowed them to present their areas of expertise and engage in discussions with potential UAE partners. Subsequently, targeted meetings were conducted during the networking event with representatives of interested UAE companies to explore the development of potential collaborations.
Moreover, the successful business mission in Dubai aligns with the broader efforts of the Ministry of Commerce to highlight Cyprus as a regional and international business hub. By participating in such missions, Cyprus aims to foster economic growth, attract foreign investment, and facilitate business partnerships.
