Sales documentation submitted to the Land Registry since the start of 2014 indicate the property market is stabilising with an average increase of 23% in numbers for January to August compared to same period in 2013.
According to the Land Registry, over the first eight months of this year, some 2,955 documents were submitted compared to 2,399 over the same months last year.
All districts apart from Paphos enjoyed an increase in sales with Limassol’s 52% rise and the free Famagusta district’s one of 41% leading the way.
In Paphos, there was a small decrease to the tune of 2% while Nicosia had a 22% rise and Larnaca one of 25%. August 2014 was especially positive with an average 26% rise compared to the same month in 2013.
