The maximum amount for each scholarship is valued at €20,000 per year, and will cover tuition and basic living expenses.
Degree programmes considered relevant to thestudy of hydrocarbons are fields such as: Hydrocarbon Engineering, Oil Geology, Oil Geophysics, Hydrocarbon Finance, Hydrocarbon Logistics, and Hydrocarbon Law.
The selection criteria is weighted 80% towards academic credentials and performance, and 20% on socioeconomic factors.
A prerequisite for the scholarship is that a place is secured on an unconditional basis in a university programme in the relevant fields.
The deadline for submitting the applications has been set as September 30 2016.
