Cyprus and Egypt recently signed an air transport agreement in Cairo providing for multiple carriers rather than just one from each side which was the case up to date.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Transport Marios Demetriades and his Egyptian counterpart Sharif Fathi.
It also provides for the lifting of limitations for flights from Cyprus to eight Egyptian airports in addition to Cairo and Alexandria. And that carriers are entitled to an unlimited number of routes.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of a Tripartite Summit in Cairo between Cyprus, Greece and Egypt.
