Health Minister George Pamboridis has been invited to Iran where he will meet his counterpart and sign important memorandums of understandings in an effort for the two countries to cooperate on health.
Pamboridis, who is travelling with medical school representatives from three local universities, will meet Minister of Health and Medical Education Seyed Hassan Hashemi and discuss health issues and challenges.
The MoU is said to cover issues on technical, research, and scientific cooperation as well as medical equipment and pharmaceutical science.
Representatives from the local pharmaceutical companies are also said to be accompanying the minister on his trip to the Islamic Republic.
The trip is scheduled to take place and be completed within the coming days.
