The number of companies registered in June rose 11% to 1,016 compared with the respective month of 2015, after rising 24% the month before, the Department of Company Registrar and Official Receiver said.
In the first six months of the year, total company registrations rose 22% to 6,366, the company registrar said in an emailed statement on Thursday.
Applications for names rose in June an annual 28% to 2,324 and in the first half of the year 19% to 13,420, the registrar said. The number of other documents issued rose 6.8% in June to 26,302 and 8.8% in the first six months of the year to 154,292 compared with the respective period of 2015.
The number of documents submitted in June fell 8.6% to 10,568 compared with June 2015 and 3.8% to 63,005 in January to June compared with the first six months of 2015, the registrar said.
