Expanding cooperation between Cyprus and Egypt to air transport and shipping, are discussed during a meeting between the Minister of Communications and Works and the Egyptian Ambassador in Nicosia.
Minister of Communications and Works Tasos Mitsopoulos said that "we share very close cooperation with Egypt and our meeting with the Ambassador of Egypt was an opportunity to renew this commitment and discuss specific prospects". Mitsopoulos said they discussed expanding cooperation to air transportwith flights to and from Egypt. They also discussed cooperation and the possibility of signing protocols of cooperation in the sector of merchant shipping and maritime training, as well as the protection of antiquities and combating the illegal movement of artifacts. Furthermore, they discussed potential cooperation in the construction sector and the promotion of public works projects.
