Applications for the registration of new companies rose in April, for the first time in 2015, figures of the Department of registrar of companies and official receiver show.
The number of applications for new company registration increased in April 2015 by 6.8% (56 requests), to 874, compared with 818 in the same month last year.
April was the first month in the current year that saw an increase in the number of applications, on an annual basis.
The applications decreased in the first three months of the year, following an increase for ten consecutive months until December 2014.
The number of applications decline by 10.8% (106 applications) in April, compared to the previous month.
