The State Health Services Organization (OKYPY) and the state doctors’ trade unions closed a pending issue that has existed between them for two years and from now on, the state special doctors will receive €1,850 each, plus an incentive that depends on the productivity of each clinic/department.
According to Phileleftheros information, the agreement reached provides that for year 2021, the approximately 600 doctors of OKYPY will get some €3.8 million for services offered to GESY patients during the previous year.
The payment will be made retrospectively and the trade unions and OKYPY will continue negotiations to study any gaps and make any necessary correction and second to define the formula about the sums that the doctors will receive for 2022.
The amount of 3.8 million is far from OKYPY’s initial predictions since over the past two years the organization lost income due to the pandemic.
