President Nicos Anastasiades on Friday morning received his Covid vaccine booster shot calling again on those who can but will not get vaccinated to do so for their own benefit, as well as that of the country’s, he said before walking in a coronavirus vaccine centre in Nicosia.

According to data from the Health Ministry, 81.4% of the adult population received at least the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19. Fully vaccinated adults (18 years and over) reached 78.9%.

COVID measures are beginning to ease in Cyprus.  The new measures announced today by the Council of Ministers come into effect on Saturday, October 9.
