Out of a total of 12,958 tablets given to students, 4,422 which were donated and 8,536 were bought by the Education Ministry.
The above was part of an answer by Education Minister Prodromos Prodromou to a question by DIKO deputy Christiana Erotokritou regarding the tablets given to students for the needs of distance learning.
The Minister also said that the tablets were given following investigation and report of the needs in all schools. According to the Minister, the tablets were distributed to all students who had stated they had no equipment for distance learning, so currently there are no students without the necessary equipment.
